An air taxi is a small passenger or cargo aircraft that operates on-demand, without regularly scheduled flights. This service is typically more affordable than the cost of flying privately or commercially. Commercial aviation, on the other hand, is governed by FAR Part 121.<\/p>\n

Air taxis tend to consist of single and multi-engine aircraft, as opposed to charter aircraft that typically use jet- or turbine-powered engines. One of the main reasons travelers rely on them is time. For people in a hurry, it\u2019s much quicker to take short haul flights on a plane than it would be to use ground transportation.<\/p>\n
